To Crete
By air: There are daily scheduled flights from "El. Venizelos" Athens International Airport to "Nikos Kazantzakis" Heraklion International Airport (55klm) and "Ioannis Daskalogiannis" Chania International Airport (86klm). Charter flights from most European destinations arrive from April to November to both airports of the island.
By Sea: Daily itineraries link the port of Rethymnon and Heraklion with the port of Piraeus (Athens). There are also daily or weekly connections with islands of the Aegean Sea (Santorini, Milos, Ios etc).
